GAW (GAC Aisin Automatic Transmission) is one of the first major projects in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a key project project in Guangdong Province, and the first automatic transmission joint venture in Guangzhou. The project is jointly funded by two Fortune 500 companies: a well-known Chinese carmaker GAC Group (Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd., the branch of GAC Motor) and Aisin AW of Japan.

The project is located in GAC Zhilian New Energy Vehicle Industrial Park.
